“Thunderhead” by Neal Shusterman

Book on grey fabric

Reader Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars)

If you crave books that keep you in the edge of your seat, that leave you wondering how you didn’t see the ending coming, that explore the most abstract concepts that we as humans are too scared (or too small-minded) to understand, you will not be disappointed by this book!

Language: 9/10 (Mild/rare swearing).
Sex: 10/10 (No sexual content).
Violence and gore: 4/10 (Frequent violence and gore).

Plot: 10/10 (Absolutely genius).
Characters: 10/10 (It is very rare for me to come across a sequel that I think is just as good or better than the original, but the new characters that come into play in this novel makes it one of the best sequels ever written. One of the main reasons that I am so impressed by this book is because of the look readers get to have of the Scythe world presented through the eyes of the Thunderhead. Talk about mind-blowing!)
Writing style: 10/10 (I have absolutely zero complaints about Shusterman’s writing. I fall in love with it over and over again in each chapter).

Genre: Young adult literature, adult literature, dystopian fiction, science fiction
Potential triggers: Murder, massacre, deaths of loved ones, drowning, suicide, etc.
Is this book part of a series? Yes.
I would recommend this book to anyone 15+.
