Reader Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5 stars)
I read this book as a young high schooler, but for some reason, it was far scarier reading it as an adult. I don’t think that when I was a kid my mind really comprehended that the story was real, but as an adult, I realize how truly terrifying Smart’s experience was. What an incredible depiction of faith amidst horrors and torment for months on end.
