Reader Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars)
I have been aching to get my hands on this book for so long, and now that I’ve got it and read it, I don’t know what to do with myself anymore. I am floored by the incredibly ingenious plot, conflict, and focus of this novel, but most especially, I am stunned by the complete perfection of Schwab’s writing. Her imagery, her diction, and her dialogue are all remarkable. It’s a genuine 5/5 for me. (Not all books can make me cry out of sheer beauty; this one did!) Now, I have to go binge-read every other V. E. Schwab book out there.
