Reader Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (3/5 stars)
It’s always fun to go back and read books enjoyed in one’s childhood. For me, this graphic novel was no exception. I loved the series as a kid, and I still love it now. It’s just as entertaining to me as an adult as it was when I first read it, and I think I appreciate it even more now than I did then.
Language: 10/10 (No swearing).
Sex: 10/10 (No sexual content).
Violence and gore: 9/10 (Mild violence).
Plot: 7/10 (Just like any TV show where some episodes are stronger than others, this installment of the Bone series has a weaker plot when compared to the rest of the “episodes”).
Characters: 7/10 (Character development isn’t as impressive in this book, but it still fleshes out the characters appropriately).
Writing style: 9/10 (Smith does a wonderful job telling this story through words and images).
Genre: Middle-grade literature, graphic novel, fantasy fiction
