“Bone: Eyes of the Storm” by Jeff Smith

This episodic development of the Bone graphic novel series starts the plot’s movement toward what makes this story so, so entertaining. Characters start to adjust, secrets are unveiled, and conflict starts to grow. If you or your child find yourself looking for an easy, satisfying read as summer draws nearer, I highly recommend these books!

Language: 10/10 (No swearing).
Sex: 10/10 (No sexual content).
Violence and gore: 8/10 (Minimal violence/gore).

Plot: 8/10 (Bright, compelling, and fun, this installment in the series is where the story really starts to pick up speed).
Characters: 8/10 (I always love these quirky bone creatures, but I love them more as character development starts to take place!)
Writing style: 7/10 (Most of the story is told through images, of course, but the dialogue provided is interesting and easy to follow).
